Walt Disney World Resort Enhances its Guest Hotel Experience with Aruba Wi-Fi

Aruba to Support Premium, Personalized Guest Services at 29 Walt Disney World Resort Properties

Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company (NYSE: HPE), today announced that Walt Disney World Resort is bringing Aruba Wi-Fi infrastructure to all 29 of its resort properties. Walt Disney World Resort will leverage Aruba solutions to offer new and improved experiences to resort guests.

Five Walt Disney World Resort properties have already deployed Aruba Wi-Fi infrastructure to support new, mobile-centric services such as mobile check-in at resort hotel lobbies, and digital solutions for housekeeping operations and maintenance management. From families streaming HD/4K video to convention guests seeking better performance for business applications, all resort guests receive complimentary, high-speed Wi-Fi powered by Aruba at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort and Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort. Aruba infrastructure will be deployed to an additional 24 resort locations by 2021.

“Aruba has helped us enhance our operational effectiveness in areas like Guest Services, Housekeeping and Maintenance Management,” said Evhen Farmiga, Director of Wireless Network Services at Walt Disney World Resort. “Additionally, it has supported our efforts to launch new conveniences such as mobile check-in.”

The new Aruba infrastructure was chosen by Walt Disney World Resort for its management, location, and analytics capabilities, and is comprised of Aruba location-ready access points (both indoor and outdoor), Aruba ClearPass for wireless authentication and policy enforcement for secure access, Aruba AirWave for network management, and Aruba ALE (Analytics and Location Engine) for actionable insights into network, device and application usage.

HPE was named an “Official Networking Provider of Walt Disney World Resort” on May 15, 2019, and HPE and Aruba technology and solutions will continue to support Disney as they make magic for their resort guests.
